Location

Cumbrian Lakes is a 200 acre conservation area with its own quiet seclusion, but is just 12 minutes to the east of the Disney theme parks and close to restaurants and shopping malls. It is an elite gated community surrounded by lakes, with a cycling or jogging track and a children's play area.

A gated entrance leads you through to a driveway lined with mature trees. The large lakes provide a natural habitat for cranes, ospreys and blue heron. It is a peaceful haven to come home to, yet is close to the excitement of the Florida theme parks.

The Living Area

Description

Our villa is ideally placed for either a relaxing holiday, sunbathing by the pool or for the excitement of the theme parks of Florida, or a bit of both ! We have designed our house with the family in mind, or a group of friends wishing to rent a larger property together. It can sleep up to 13 people, so makes an ideal choice for 2 or even 3 families

We have a large family room with cable TV and VCR/DVD and stereo system. We have some DVDs and videos for guests to watch and have provided a selection of books, puzzles and games. The phone tariff we have gives guests free and unlimited access to make calls to any location, including overseas. This helps guests wishing to bring a laptop computer and access the internet.

There is a second sitting room, also with cable TV and DVD and the sofa bed can sleep two people. We have provided curtains and a blind for privacy so that the second sitting room can be used as a sixth bedroom. We also have a TV room upstairs with cable TV and Playstation II, with some games. The sofa converts in to a sofa bed so providing space for up to 13 people to sleep
 

The kitchen is large with fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and all kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery that you will need. The laundry area is in the garage and has large washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

We have put extra comfortable chairs to provide a quiet reading area for guests who require a little "time out". The master bedroom has a king size bed and large ensuite, with bath and separate shower, his and hers sinks, with large vanity mirrors.  The second master bedroom is queen size and is downstairs with a patio door leading out to the pool. This bedroom is also ensuite. There is a twin bedroom downstairs, with ensuite bathroom and two further twin rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom.

 All of the air conditioned bedrooms have ceiling fans. The games room is in the garage, with an 8 ft pool table and full size table tennis table. We also have a darts board. We have placed a table and chairs in the games room, and a fan so that spectators can watch in comfort.

The pool is 30ft x 12ft, which is larger than most pools in vacation properties. We have an extended deck area with plenty of pool furniture (four loungers, two reclining chairs and large rectangular table with four chairs for outdoors dining). The pool is south facing so guests can enjoy sun all day and the covered patio area with ceiling fan provides a cooler place to sit out of the sun. We have a gas barbeque for guests to use too.

The pool overlooks the fountain in the lake, which is floodlit at night. The pool is also lit at night so can be used at this time. Our house is on one of the largest plots in the community so gives a private location that is not overlooked.

Attractions & Distances:

Despite our villa being in a quiet location just off Highway 192 it is only 12 minutes from the Disney Theme parks. Highway 192 is easily accessible and has many restaurants, shops and attractions. Orlando International Airport is only 35 minutes away, or should you arrive in to Florida via Sanford Airport it is about 1 hour 20 minutes drive from our villa.
